13 Nights of Halloween: Starbucks Zombie Frappuccino

Yesterday, October 26, Starbucks released their newest drink in honor of Halloween. They described the Zombie Frappuccino as “a chilling concoction of green caramel apple with a dark mocha drizzle, and a brain of pinkish whip.”

I wanted to share my review of their latest drink on Night 9 of 13 Nights of Halloween. Did I like it or was it just another craze?

I originally planned to go to Starbucks and order the Zombie Frappuccino and a Dia de los Muertos sugar cookie. I prepared to have a mini photoshoot with my drink and cookie and imagined it would be so cute. But unfortunately the location I went to did not have any of the cookies and were out of the pinkish whip by the time I ordered at 4PM.

I wanted to postpone this post till I could get in a cute photoshoot to post along with it but I also wanted this review to be genuine with my first reaction.

I ended up ordering a grande Zombie Frappuccino sans pinkish whip and a double chocolate chip brownie. I could say, right off the bat, this drink isn’t very Halloween without the “brain” of pinkish whip.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the drink but I can say I didn’t hate it. I am a huge fan of green caramel apples so that could’ve contributed to my liking. The mocha did give an interesting taste but it did compliment the green caramel apple flavor. The green caramel apple wasn’t too tart and the mocha balances it out a bit.

I haven’t decided if I would order it again but I do say it’s something you should try at least once. Head to your nearest Starbucks before Halloween to give it a try as it’s only available until October 31st! What’s your favorite Starbucks drink?
